Lysozym - Lysotop
"Crystallization of Lysozyme, Cross-Linking and Lyophilization, and Evaluation of Product Properties 5 Lysozyme Crystallization
Following Blake, C.C.F. et al. Nature 196: 1173 (1962), 200 mg of
lyophilized egg white lysozyme (Boehringer Mannheim) was dissolved in 2.5 ml of 0.04 M sodium acetate buffer pH 4.7 at room temperature. After the protein was solvated, 2.5 mL of 10% sodium chloride was added dropwise
to the lysotope solution with stirring. The crystallization solution was allowed to stand overnight at room temperature, and the crystallization of silicon was complete within 48 hours. The crystals were recovered by centrifugation as previously described in Example 2."
